The International Association of Little Babies held their annual convention over the Christmas week in Norman, Oklahoma. Attending the get-together were Deepa and Anand. The four day convention was comprised of debates, seminars and laying on their backs waving their arms and legs while giggling. The babies held a special ceremony on the last day of the convention to show their appreciation for all the work the Mommies did. The babies all let out a delightful squeal and waved their arms and legs back and forth while laying on their backs. (AUDIO) FULL STORY (VIDEO) FULL STORY

The 1st annual convention of the International Association of Little Babies was not entirely dedicated to high-brow debates on the pressing baby issues of the day. The event was also an opportunity for little babies to get together and play with their rattles, do a little harmless spitting up, and to simply get to know each other. Baby Deepa and Baby Anand met here at the convention, and found they had much in common. It turns out that Baby Deepa's mother and Baby Anand's father are brother and sister! Since this was Anand's first visit to Norman, Deepa gave him a tour of all the best spots for picking up lint and hair to put in their mouths. Although Anand generally abstains from randomly putting things in his mouth, he was appreciative and respected Deepa's choice to put lint and hair in her mouth. FULL STORY (VIDEO) FULL STORY

A guest speaker, Mrs Saroja, was forced to cancel her appearance at the covention. Mrs Saroja is shown here with her daughter, Valli. Mrs Saroja is the grandmother of Baby Deepa and a former baby herself. She was slated to speak to the babies at the grand opening of the convention, but scheduling conflicts prevented her from appearing at the gathering. Mrs Saroja sent a 15 minute videotaped announcement which was shown at the opening, in which she recounted her experiences as a little baby and also strongly advised the babies in the audience that, "...in the long run, you will find that a daily dose of Bonnisan will make you feel like a bonny, bright baby." She also counseled the mothers in the audience on the fine art of baby bathing. After her closing statements, nearly all the babies in the audience gave Mrs Saroja a sitting ovation.
